Course Type: Has a wide variety of holes. Alot of the fairways are wide and the greens are generally small. An interesting and challenging course with lovely rural views.

KAURI CLIFFS

Distance from Butterfly Bay: 15 - 20 minute drive

Course Type: Rated among the top golf courses in the world! Designed and built by David Harman. Breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and Cavalli Islands. A spectacular and challenging course to play.

KERIKERI

Distance from Butterfly Bay: 35 minute drive

Course Type: Easy walking course with many trees lining the fairways. A true all weather course that is interesting and challenging. There are a variety of Tees available to suit your game.

WAITANGI

Distance from Butterfly Bay: 1hr drive

Course Type: Gently undulating with well groomed fairways and immaculate greens. Has tremendous panorama of sea and island views over the Bay of Islands. 

CARRINGTON CLUB

Distance from Butterfly Bay: 45 - 60 minute drive

Course Type: Designed by Matt Dye. Amazing ocean views, rolling pasture, wetlands with native trees and flora plus a large lake. A stunning and challenging course to play. 

OKAIHAU


Distance from Butterfly Bay: 40 minute drive

Course Type: A 9 hole course with Bay of Islands views. Gently rolling fairways and a friendly welcome.

KAIKOHE

Distance from Butterfly Bay: 45 minute drive

Course Type: Features narrow, controlled rough, two lakes and sandtraps. A challenge, but not strenuous, an all weather course with lots of trees.

Suggested Itinerary for your Northland Golfing Holiday

DAY 1 - Start your golfing holiday at one of the World's top courses! - Kauri Cliffs.

DAY 2 - Play Kerikeri Golf Course or enjoy a browse around the boutique shops and art galleries or visit the historic Stone Store basin.

DAY 3 - Travel North and play the scenic Carrington Club course on the Karikari Peninsula. Have lunch at the winery.

DAY 4 - Play Whangaroa, the closest course to Butterfly Bay. Finish with a trip to the beautiful Whangaroa Harbour for sundowners.

DAY 5 - Play Waitangi in the Bay of Islands or visit the Historic Treaty Grounds and Maori Meeting House located right next to the course.

DAY 6 - Perhaps play 9 holes at Okaihau. Visit Waiere Boulders at Horeke in the afternoon or play another 9 holes in Kaikohe.

DAY 7 - End your golfing holiday relaxing on the beach or perhaps replay your favourite Northland Golf Course!
